Your Inspired Journey (YIJ) recognizes the special journey of the clients for Michigan Rehabilitation Services. We are eager help support and bridge the service gaps and existing offerings that bring clients closer to success in ways that truly matter. YIJ is a person-centered organization building opportunities for positive exploration that lead to health working adults and healthy supportive families. Our Theory of Change Framework is applied to all aspects of our work. This methodology is a foundation of safe spaces for youth and young adults to explore, overcome and/or mitigate barriers, plan and implement practical the steps toward personal goals and moving into workchoice. With our team of experts, we get results.
Job Coaching & Supported Employment
Provides on-site, structured interventions to help customer learn specific job tasks and interpersonal skills, including, if necessary, on-site assistance with accommodations and identifying natural supports.
Workplace Readiness & Adulting 101 Training
Focuses on building social skills, independent living skills, and soft skills necessary for employment.
Job Seeking/Job Keeping Skills
Training o how to search for jobs, interview techniques, and maintaining employment.
Job Placement Assistance & Follow Up
Includes services to secure competitive intergrated employment (CIE), such as applicaiton completion, job search assistance, and employer consultation. Follow-up services involved checking in with employers and employees to ensure job retention.
Vocational Evaluations & Assessments
Specialized testing to determine job readiness, skills and appropriate career paths.
Skill Training
On-the-job-training, vocational, or technical skills development, such as manufacturing, customer service or office automation.
